My strategy for creating content every week π±
Aug 23, 2023 11:31 pm
Hey, ,
I tend to struggle deciding what to write in every newsletter.
It's become a problem that has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety, and I started this newsletter to have fun and connect with others.
I'd like to fix that.
This week, I'll be sharing with you my plan to break my own writer's block and create more consistency for you and the rest of my audience.
Starting to focus on doing this for myself has already started to bring me some calm. And, creating a plan for how I want to write content and show up for you has given me a lot of clarity for what's to come. My hope is that by sharing this with you, you can model it and create that same feeling for yourself.
I'm in the final weeks of my six-week cycle focused on revamping my newsletter. If you want to read past editions to learn more about each week, you can view them here:
- How to manage your inbox
- I'm looking to improve my emails
- How to shape your next project
- Connecting with video emails
Previously, I shared that I wanted to Shape Up my newsletter so that I could accomplish 4 main things. Here's where I'm at so far in my cycle:
- streamline my newsletter content creation process β
- compare, contrast, and migrate email marketing service providers β
- define content pillars to better write and plan several series β
- secure education partners to bring new content topics (next week)
This week, I'll be sharing with you:
- what content pillars are and why they can help you,
- my content pillars will begin to look like for this newsletter,
- the content will fall into each category,
- and why I chose each of them.
Plus an invitation to join me for a free month of coaching.
Let's dive inβ¦
π‘ Creating "content pillars" for your content strategy can benefit you more than you think.
Content Pillars refer to the key topics or themes that form the backbone of your content strategy.
Theyβre the core subjects or areas that your brand has expertise in and for which you want to be known.
Content Pillars provide a versatile framework for creating valuable content that appeals to different angles and viewpoints, while still maintaining a strong connection to your brand and audience.
Hereβs why creating them for your business can be helpful:
- Content Consistency: They provide a framework around which all other content revolves, ensuring consistency in message and approach.
- Audience Relevance: They ensure that your content is always relevant to your target audience. By focusing on specific areas of expertise, youβre more likely to engage and attract your desired audience.
- SEO Benefits: Regularly publishing content on social media, blogs, etc. can improve your search engine ranking for the topics you want to be known for.
- Content Planning: They can guide your content planning and creation process, making it easier to decide what to write or create next.
- Brand Authority: By consistently creating content around these pillars, your brand can establish itself as an authority in those topics.
π Content Pillars: I'm creating content centered around these 5 Content Pillars in this newsletter.
Each edition of this newsletter will focus on content that falls within one of these 5 content pillars.
Defining content categories helps me create new trainings, plan related series, maintain consistency in the newsletter, and set the right expectations for you.
- Wix Proficiency: Detailed tutorials, tips, and tricks relating to having an online business with Wix. We'll explore how to get the most out of the Wix platform to benefit your business, and dive deep into the Wix App Marketplace (including the collection of 52+ apps made by Wix). These may include effective day planning, setting up automations and calendars in Wix, and managing notifications to increase both a sense of calm and productivity.

- Personal Development: Focus on maintaining mental health while running a business. We'll explore great resources to take with you on your journey, from books to podcasts.
