What does it mean to launch a Wix website?

To launch your website means to make your Wix website publicly accessible for the first time. This process often involves finalizing your design and content in the Wix editor, setting up needed functionality, and ensuring everything works as expected.

Once you’re satisfied with your creation, you can then click the “Publish” button within the Wix editor. This will transition the site from being in development (i.e., only visible to you) to being live on the internet (i.e. accessible by everyone).

Does publishing my site mean I can't make changes?

Nope. Publishing your site is just like throwing an epic party and sending out the invites. It means that everyone can now find your website and drop by for a visit.

Any time you want to jazz things up – maybe rearrange the furniture (page layouts), or bring in new conversation starters (blog posts) – all you have to do is make those changes in your Wix editor and click on “Publish” again.

Think of it as refreshing the snacks at your party! Your guests will always see the latest and greatest that you have to offer.

What do I need to consider before making my website live?
