There's a tale about a Frenchman who wanted a tree planted in his garden. When the gardener pointed out that the tree would take a century to mature, the Frenchman’s response was clear: "Then plant it this afternoon!" This story holds a mirror to our marriages. Like that tree, relationships are slow to mature and need patience, nurturing, and most crucially, time.

One might ask: Is it quality or quantity of time that matters? The answer: both. While some spouses, like my wife, Cetelia, deeply value quality moments, others, like me, might not have it as a primary need. The key is to understand and respect each other's preferences.
