We're all hypocritical.

We don't mean to be, but we are. It's part of being human.

We declare one thing is bad, immoral, illegal, off-limits, below our standard, or flat out wrong; then eventually do it ourselves.

When it comes to your spouse, you can probably name five things in rapid succession that he/she does that you consider hypocritical. You'd have to think a little bit harder for yourself (note: your spouse could give me five in a flash).

If we're all hypocritical, what's the solution to getting along with our mate?

The prophet Micah gives us a really big hint:

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8, emphasis mine).
