Jesus is looking at you

But the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, "Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times/" (Luke 22:61)

The look that Jesus gave Peter is a powerful reminder of the depth of God's love for us. In John 3:16-17, we see that God loved the world so much that he sent his only Son to save us, not to condemn us. It is this same love that Jesus demonstrated towards Peter, even when he denied him three times. Jesus' love for Peter was not based on his actions, but rather on his character and his mission to save the world. When we feel like we have let God down, it is important to remember this truth. God's love for us is not based on our performance, but rather on his character and his sacrifice on the cross. Just like Peter, we can find hope and forgiveness in Jesus' love and understanding.

Prayer

Dear God, I thank you for your great love for me, as demonstrated through the sacrifice of your Son. Help me to remember that your love for me is not based on my actions, but rather on your character and your mission to save the world. When I feel like I have let you down, may I find hope in your love and forgiveness. Give me the strength to follow you faithfully and to show your love to others. Amen.

Get into Action

Today, take some time to reflect on God's great love for you, as demonstrated through the sacrifice of his Son. Then, find a way to show that love to others. Maybe it's through a kind word, a gesture of forgiveness, or a simple act of service.
