You can recover from problems in your marriage

Some spouses believe that when their marriage gets a scratch or dent in it, it's impossible for them to recover as a couple, and the partner must be traded in for someone else. Well, that's wrong thinking.

I'm reminded of a time when I got a new car, and less than two weeks after getting it, I backed it into a brick wall. Even though I put a scratch on the bumper and felt terrible about it, at no time did I consider trading in the car for another one. Sure, I considered repair options, but never did I think about getting a another car. Although the car had a scratch on the bumper, I could recover from it.

I encourage you to have a recovery mindset in your marriage, and think about ways your marriage can be *fixed* instead of trading your partner in for a new one. Every marriage - no matter if it's the first, second, or third - is going to collect dents and scratches. Learn how to recover, and keep keeping on so you can make your marriage work.
