Verse 1 of Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus says ...

O soul, so weary and troubled by strife, Lift up your eyes to the Source of life. Turn your gaze upon Jesus, faithful and true, In His presence, find strength to carry you through.

Life can often leave us feeling weary and burdened by the challenges and struggles we face. We may feel overwhelmed, lacking the strength to carry on. In these moments, we are called to lift our eyes to the Source of life, to turn our gaze upon Jesus.

The verse from Isaiah reminds us that those who place their hope in the Lord will experience a renewal of strength. When we shift our focus from our own limitations and fix our eyes upon Jesus, we tap into His limitless power and grace. In His presence, we find the strength to persevere, to soar above our circumstances, and to keep moving forward without growing weary or faint.

Jesus is faithful and true, always near, and ready to impart His strength to us. He understands our weariness, and He invites us to find rest in Him. When we choose to turn our gaze upon Him, we align ourselves with His divine perspective and allow His strength to infuse every fiber of our being.

Dear Heavenly Father, as I turn my gaze upon Jesus, I seek strength and courage to face each day with renewed hope. May His presence lift my spirit, empowering me to rise above my circumstances. I place my trust in Your unwavering faithfulness, knowing that in Jesus, I find an endless source of strength to carry me through every challenge.
