That was R-U-D-E, Rude!

One of the things I despise most in other people is rude behavior. It's easy to spot. It looks like disrespect, not considering others' feelings, time, or possessions. It's being impolite in behavior, words, and actions.
If I ask you to think about the last time someone was rude to you, you'd likely have a time conjured up in seconds: like the person who didn't let you into traffic, the troll on Facebook who talked trash, the cashier at the grocery store who spoke harshly to you, or the friend, spouse, or family member who kept you waiting.
Like I said, it's easy to spot rudeness.
Except for when it's coming from us in our marriages.
Consider when you're showing disrespect, lacking courtesy, or not considering your spouse. When are your behaviors, words, and actions impolite or offensive?
If we're honest, there are traces of rudeness from us on a pretty regular basis. It's not that we're bad people, we're just not letting the love of Christ shine through our lives and marriages.
God produces His love IN us when we yield to Him. And, when we don't yield, we produce works of the flesh, and it can look like rudeness.
Consider how you're being with your spouse today -- especially when you get hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. Then consider what it will take to yield to the Holy Spirit so He can produce God's love in your heart and your marriage.
