The power of words in the workplace cannot be overstated. God used words to create, and we too can use our words to achieve success in our work. It is essential to be mindful of the words we use in our interactions with colleagues and customers. Our words can be used to answer questions, talk about ideas, declare intentions, make promises, and challenge the status quo.

Scripture: A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. (Proverbs 25:11, ESV)

Prayer: Dear God, please guide me in using my words with intention and purpose. Help me to use my words to achieve success in my work, and to fulfill my role for my employer / employees / customers. May my words bring positivity and productivity to my workplace, and may I use them to make a meaningful impact on those around me.

Get into Action: Choose one of the following: answering, talking about, declaring, promising, or challenging. Talk with someone or write about a time when you used your words intentionally in this way to achieve success in your work. How did your words impact the situation, and what positive outcomes did they lead to? How can you continue to use your words in this way to contribute to the success of your workplace and fulfill your role for your employer?
