Day 3 | Make (Decide) Something

Mar 15, 2023 10:01 am

Dear ,

As you approach your work with a spirit of initiative and bold decision-making, we reflect the very image of God, who created the world with purpose and intentionality. He did not simply sit back and let things unfold on their own, but rather took an active role in shaping the world around us. In the same way, we can take initiative in our work, and step forward with confidence and make bold decisions that will help us achieve our goals.

While you may not be authorized to make particular decisions in your organization, you shouldn't let that stop you from making the decisions you can make. This can be daunting, especially if you are not used to taking risks or making decisions that could impact others. You may fear failure or worry that your choices will not be well-received by those around you. Yet, as you seek to align yourself with God's will and your company's goals and challenges, you can be assured that He will guide you in the right direction.

Scripture: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9, ESV)

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for giving me the ability to take charge and make a positive impact. Help me to take ownership of my work and personal life, and to be a leader in my sphere of influence. May my decisions be guided by your wisdom and love. Give me the strength and courage to make bold decisions for the good of others and your glory. Amen.

Get into Action: Make a list of areas where you can make decisions at work, then make a decision! Note: This isn't about making decisions that aren't yours to make, rather making decisions that you've been avoiding to make out of fear of failure or worry.
