In the hustle and bustle of life, we sometimes forget an essential truth: our spouse isn't just our partner, but a real, living person with feelings (just like us!). We might get caught up, momentarily losing sight of this, leading us to say or do things we deeply regret later.

Proverbs 12:18 wisely advises, "There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing" That's more than just an age-old saying; it's a compass for married life.

So, what can we do? Practice tenderness. Embrace empathy. Speak with love and understanding. Be gentle, forgiving, and merciful in your words. Embody the grace and love Christ shows you, and extend it to your spouse. It's a simple yet profound way to ensure your marriage not only survives but thrives.
