Day 2 | Love like you've been loved
Apr 04, 2023 10:01 am
Scripture: Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. (John 13:5 - for context, read John 13:1-15)
Reflection: , Jesus demonstrated his deep love for his disciples by washing their feet and sharing bread and wine with them. His actions showed the importance of humility, service, and unconditional love towards others, even in the face of betrayal or abandonment. This challenges us to examine our hearts and ask if we are willing to love and serve others, even in difficult circumstances.
Prayer: Dear God, I thank you for the example of Jesus and his deep love for his disciples. Help me to humble myself and serve others, even in the face of betrayal or abandonment. Teach me to love unconditionally and extend forgiveness, even to those who may not deserve it. May I always remember Jesus' sacrifice for me and seek to follow in his footsteps. Give me the courage to act in a way that reflects your love, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable. Thank you for your constant presence and guidance in my life. Amen.
Get into Action: Today, take time to perform a simple act of service for someone else, whether it be washing their dishes, helping with a task, or simply offering a listening ear. As you do so, remember Jesus' example of humility and love, and ask God to show you how you can continue to serve others in your daily life.
