Day 1 | Showing Up

Mar 27, 2023 10:01 am

Scripture: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)

Reflection: , starting something is often easier than finishing it, but God calls us to be finishers. In the beginning, we may have a lot of steam, willingness, and pride, but it's important to keep showing up and remain patient in spirit (Ecclesiastes 7:8). Showing up every day, making steady progress (Proverbs 21:5), and not giving up easily is better than simply getting started. We must lay aside every weight that would hold us back and run with endurance the race that is set before us.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be consistent and steady in showing up to what I have been tasked and/or called to do. Give me the endurance to push through challenges and obstacles, even when I feel like giving up. Amen.

Get into Action: Think about a task or project you have been putting off. Take one small step towards finishing it today.
