How to get your marriage unstuck in 2021
Dec 31, 2020 3:20 am
Over the next couple of days millions of people will reflect on 2020 to determine how they grew, what they learned, and how they got better.
But, this reflection will not help them do anything about what has happened in the past.
Therefore, I encourage you to practice the exercise where you go into the future and look back.
The best way to predict the future is to create it, and you have an opportunity to do that in 2021.
Start by asking this question: What do I wish I had done?
As I mentioned yesterday, I've created a tool that will guide you to reflect on 2021 so you can navigate the upcoming year with more purpose and intention.
There are 26 questions, and I encourage you to answer the question that will challenge you to grow as a spouse.
The tool will send you a reminder of your responses each month so that you're constantly reminded -- and can refocus if necessary -- on what you need to do to in 2021 to make your marriage work.
In closing, you can stay stuck like the mower I mentioned yesterday, or you can make progress in your marriage.
Whether you move or stay stuck, 2021 is going to come and go.
When you look back, what do you wish you had done?
