Greetings, gentle reader.
Have you ever wondered what you get the woman who has everything? The answer is Legos, of course.
Some backstory:
Chris and I moved into our house this summer, and we have a ton of built-in bookcases. This is great. Except, well. We don't have enough stuff to put on them.
(I know someone is gonna be all "pUt BoOkS oN tHe ShElVeS" and yes, we've done that. The shelves in my office are packed. But we have two shelves in the living room and a hutch in the dining room and desk situation in the kitchen. Basically, we need more than books. But thank you for assuming I don't somehow have books coming out of my ears.)
That's where Legos come in.
I mentioned to Chris that there was a Lego bonsai tree, and that it might be a fun thing to do together. And then, on the morning of my birthday, I opened just that.
So on Monday, we sat at our dining room table with some beer and Halloween candy (lest you think I'm a healthy person) and put it together.
BEHOLD! THE ONLY PLANT I CAN KEEP ALIVE!
There is only one vine going around the tree, because we dropped one on the floor and didn't realize that Rosie, the dog, was eating it until it was mostly gone. In her defense, anything that usually falls off the dining room table is hers to consume.
The set came with two different types of leaves. We went with the green for now, and next spring, I will absolutely be changing them out for the pink cherry blossoms and frogs.
I'm not working on commission or anything, but I feel like we all need to go to the nearest Lego store and spend approximately $400 and get everything we want.
