I'm writing this newsletter on Thursday, September 30, at 1:45 PM. It's raining here in Oklahoma City, and the thunder keeps rumbling and rattling the various things hanging on my wall. Rosie is snoring in her bed next to my desk, and I'm wearing a hoodie because it's too damn cold all of the sudden.
Fall is here.
I'm personally kicking myself for not buying a half-gallon of pumpkin spice apple cider when I went to the grocery store. I can't help but think that would be a delightful beverage, served warm, and sipped while I read books about ghosts and witches on my couch.
Speaking of seasonally appropriate books...
THE REUNION: A SUPERNATURAL ANTHOLOGY IS OUT NOW!
It's currently available digitally everywhere you get your ebooks, and the print version is on the way. It's an odd time to manufacture a book, so I can't say when it will be ready, but it's in the production pipeline as you read this!
It's been such an odd experience to publish fiction. It's the one thing I want to be an absolute perfectionist about, and it's the one thing in my life I have so little control over. I am learning more than I ever wanted to know about supply chains, gang. And I'm sure you've heard about the impending book shortage and how you should start ordering the books you want for the holidays right now, because you probably won't be able to get them in December.
But for now, let's celebrate spooky books.
Click here to get some books set in weird or creepy All-American sort of places. Maybe you recognize one of them...
And check out these books that are perfect for scaring yourself silly right before Halloween. Maybe you also recognize one of the books in there...
And make sure you check back next week. I have some more books to share with you.
Thanks for letting me invade your inbox!
