Hi !

Howdy y’all! It’s September and fall will be upon us soon. YAY! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the cooler weather. While this summer hasn’t been as hot as other places in the country, it has been hotter than what we’re used to here. So bring on the cooler weather.

I didn’t make the finalist list for the Screenplay awards I entered. I wasn’t “really” expecting to. Don’t get me wrong, I was secretly hoping I would, but I knew my treatment was all wrong. It was my first attempt at writing a treatment. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. I reached out to a friend who knows more about that stuff than I do and he did help me, but it was too late to make any changes for the contest. I’ll know better for next time.

In book two news, I have learned that I have too many voices in my head so I am unable to hear my own. Let me explain. I’m in three zoom calls. Two are weekly, one is every other week. I read some of what I have written and get feedback. Feedback is very much needed. But there is a time and place for it. While you are still working out the kinks of your story probably isn’t the best time to be getting it.

I know book two has been a long time coming, but I assure you, it will be worth the wait. I am working on it. I want book two to be better than book one. And it will be. It’s already shaping up rather nicely.

Well, that’s it from me for this month. I am beach bound come Thursday and will be there for two weeks. I hope y’all have a great start to fall. See you in October.
