Hi !

Hey y’all! It’s great to “see” you again. Summer is in full swing here in the northern hemisphere. It’s been hot by Nebraska standards for about two weeks now. We even hit 100 a couple days. I know, it’s not the temperatures a lot of places are seeing, but it’s hot for here. Never thought I’d say this, but I’m ready for fall.

I heard back from the book awards that I entered. I didn’t make the finalists list which I really wasn’t expecting to. I’m still a little bummed, but you can’t win if you don’t try. The screenplay winners will be announced in another week or two. So I still have a chance there. Keep y’alls fingers crossed for me, please.

In book writing news, book two is coming along nicely. I’m navigating my way through whatever Jason decides to throw at me. Yes, Jason is the problem “child” now, not Kiara. But I’m working my way through all the twists and turns and having a blast doing it. This book sure has been a challenge. I think much more than book one, but it’s teaching me a lot, so there’s that.

Well, I guess that’s all from me this month. I hope those of y’all in the northern hemisphere are managing to stay cool and those of you in the southern hemisphere are managing to stay warm. We’ll see y’all next month.
