imageHi !

Howdy y’all! It’s officially summer in the US and while not unbearable, it’s been warm here in Nebraska. Not the 100 degrees + it has been in other parts of the country, though. We don’t see those kinds of temps.

I went to a writer’s conference the second week in June, in Texas. It was my second conference ever and I had a blast. I met so many amazing authors and learned a lot. There was one class where one of the presenters was a pantser and the other was a planner. They talked about what their writing process looked like. I learned some tips in that class that I have been implementing in my own writing.

I’ve entered Shattered Innocence into an awards thing in two different categories. A book category and a screen play category. I won’t hear anything until late summer. If I win the screen play, then the book will be turned into a film or television movie. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please.

Shattered Dreams is coming along nicely. Since I’m a pantser, I write myself into corners that I struggle to get out of. I’ve got a good plan now and have been able to write much better having a clear idea of where I’m going. Who knew?

Well, that’s all from me this month. I hope everyone is out enjoying the sunshine but staying cool at the same time. If that’s possible. I’ll see y’all in August.

Battered and bruised, Wren has taken a lot from her father over the years, but when he throws her out of the house, she sees it as a blessing in disguise. When she starts over in a new town, under a new identity, she makes it her goal to fly under the radar.

New town, new life. Only, there’s a corrupt deputy intent on stealing Deputy Gray Frampton’s family fortune, a slight case of aggravated identity fraud, and a night in the local jail. It’s enough to make any girl’s head spin. Wren Michaels has to find a way not to spend the next three years in jail, warn Gray that Deputy Pritchard is after him, and somehow hold onto the happily-ever-after that is finally within her grasp—assuming Gray wants a felon as his girlfriend.
