Motivation usually starts after you begin

A small shift that makes it easier to show up, even on low-energy days.

Happy Tuesday, !

A lot of people tell me they wish they were as “motivated” as I am.

I’m going to share the secret of my motivation right now, because it might surprise you.

Sometimes I’m NOT. 🤫

BUT… when that happens… like it did last week, when I just didn’t feel like working out..

I did it anyway.

It wasn’t easy. I just put one foot in front of the other. And showed up.

And of course, I felt so much better afterward.

Here’s what I know about motivation.

You can’t count on it to get you started.

You have to DO something to wake it up and welcome it in.

You've probably experienced this yourself without realizing it.

Like that night you were tempted to order takeout but made dinner at home instead…

I’m sure you were glad you made the effort!

Or the after-dinner walk you took to clear your head, that left you wondering why you didn’t do that more often.

And, yes, doing the workout you weren’t in the mood to start.

Sometimes it takes a while for your brain to catch up with your body.

So the next time you're waiting to feel motivated, try this instead: just start. Five minutes in, you might be surprised at what shows up!

Looking for some extra support, motivation, and accountability to help ease your chronic pain, build muscle, and let go of stress?

I created my private group, the Better Movements Community, to inspire and encourage you every step of the way as you work toward your goals and take them even further.

If you’d like to learn more, simply reply with the word “Movements,” and I’ll happily send you all the details as soon as possible. You can also click here to discover more. I would truly love to welcome you to our community!

Keep up the good work,

Coach Lu
