The biggest lesson I learned from losing everything

Rock bottom clears the noise
I thought I was grounded.
Until I lost what I was standing on.
Money gone.
Momentum gone.
Certainty gone.
And I was left with myself.
No audience.
No next move.
Just breath... and regret.
But in that quiet?
I heard something I’d never heard before:
“Now that you’ve lost it all...
maybe you’re finally ready to see.”
And I did.
I saw how much I had been outsourcing my worth.
To numbers.
To wins.
To validation dressed as value.
But rock bottom has a way of stripping you clean.
And underneath all the doing...
was someone I hadn’t met before.
Still.
Unshaken.
Finally... clear.
If you’re in a valley right now,
Don’t rush to climb.
Sit there.
Let the silence speak.
Let the ego dissolve.
Because sometimes…
the bottom is where the truth lives.
And truth doesn’t need rebuilding.
It just needs to be remembered.
If you’re in the valley right now…
I’ve been there.
And I can promise — there’s something sacred in it.
Reply “valley” and I’ll walk with you a bit.
