The 30-Second Pattern That's Controlling Your Entire Life (And How to Break It)

Oct 16, 2025 1:01 pm

Right now, there's a pattern running your life.

It shows up when you reach for your phone without thinking. When you get defensive over nothing. When you work 80 hours to avoid feeling something.

And the wild part? What you resist is exactly what controls you.

I'm going to show you how to take that power back in the next 5 minutes.

See, most people think awakening is this big dramatic thing. Lightning bolt moment. Suddenly enlightened. Buddha under the tree type stuff.

But that's not how it works.

It's granular. It's in the tiny moments where you feel that resistance and you CHOOSE to look at it instead of scrolling past it. Instead of numbing out. Instead of getting defensive.

The thing is: whatever you resist, you're giving your power to.

Think about it.

You're scrolling social media for 30 minutes because you don't want to feel what's actually moving inside you. You're working 80 hours a week because sitting still makes you uncomfortable. You're chasing the next goal, the next milestone, the next achievement because STOPPING means facing yourself.

And facing yourself is terrifying.

I get it. I do it too. The difference is I've learned to catch it faster. To notice the moment the thought arises: "I should check my phone." And in that space between the thought and the action... there's everything.

There's freedom.

There's consciousness.

There's the choice to not be controlled by the pattern.

Listen, your mind isn't broken. It's not damaged. It's just TIRED of pretending.

Tired of the performance. Tired of maintaining the image. Tired of all the ways you've learned to be that aren't actually YOU.

And that exhaustion? That numbness you feel sometimes?

That's not a flaw. That's a signal.

Your soul is trying to get your attention. It's saying: "Hey, this isn't working anymore. This version of you that you've constructed? It's not sustainable. It's not real. And it's definitely not free."

But here's where it gets tricky.

Most people, when they hear this, they either:

A) Completely abandon themselves in the name of "letting go" and end up collapsing into chaos, OR

B) Get even MORE rigid, more controlled, more performance-oriented to avoid the discomfort

Both are just different flavors of resistance.

Real surrender isn't self-abandonment. It's not giving up. It's not becoming weak or passive or checked out.

Real surrender is having the COURAGE to stop pretending.

To look at what's actually here. To feel what's actually moving. To admit where you're actually at instead of where you think you should be.

And that takes more strength than any achievement. More discipline than any business goal. More consciousness than any meditation practice.

Because it means you have to get honest about the ways you're lying to yourself.

About the fears you're avoiding. About the wounds you're covering with success. About the attention you're seeking because you don't know how to see yourself.

I see it all the time. Guys crushing it in business. Making money. Building empires. Looking successful from the outside.

But inside?

Terrified of slowing down. Terrified of being alone with themselves. Terrified that without the achievements, without the validation, without the DOING... there's nothing there.

That's the king of nothing paradox.

You can have everything externally and still feel empty internally because you built it all on a foundation of "not enough." On proving something. On escaping something.

And here's what nobody tells you:

You can't build a kingdom on that foundation. Not a real one. Because the moment you stop moving, the moment you stop achieving, the whole thing crumbles.

The Greeks understood this. Ancient wisdom understood this. Your body knows this.

That's why your physique won't change no matter what you do until you address the consciousness underneath it. That's why you keep sabotaging yourself. That's why you start strong and then fall off.

Because there's a part of you that knows: if you actually achieve this, you'll have to face the fact that the achievement isn't the answer.

The answer is YOU. Present. Aware. Honest. Not performing.

So what do you do?

You start small.

You notice the resistance. You don't fight it. You don't judge it. You just... see it.

"Oh, there's that urge to pick up my phone."

"Oh, there's that defensiveness when someone criticizes me."

"Oh, there's that need to be right, to be seen, to be validated."

And you let it be there. You let it move through you. You don't make it wrong. You don't make yourself wrong for having it.

You just see it. Feel it. Let it pass.

And in doing that—in that tiny moment of awareness instead of reaction—you take your power back.

You stop being controlled by the pattern. You start being free of it.

Not through force. Not through willpower. Through CONSCIOUSNESS.

Through seeing clearly. Through being honest. Through having the guts to stop running and just... be here.

With all of it. The fear. The wound. The pretending. The resistance.

All of it.

And when you do that enough times, something shifts. The hamster wheel starts spiraling UPWARD instead of just spinning in place. You start compounding awareness the way you compound money.

You start to realize: oh, I'm not the wound. I'm not the fear. I'm not even the resistance.

I'm the awareness that sees all of it.

And THAT can't be controlled. THAT can't be damaged. THAT is always free.

Always has been. Always will be.

You just forgot. Got distracted. Started pretending you were something else.

But you're not. You never were.

And the moment you remember that—really remember it, not just think it—everything changes.

Your relationship to yourself. Your relationship to others. Your relationship to life.

It all becomes... simpler. Clearer. More real.

Not easier. Real things are rarely easy.

But real.

And after all the pretending, all the performing, all the resistance...

Real is what your soul has been craving all along.

So stop resisting it.

Stop running from it.

Stop pretending you're something other than what you are.

Just be here. Right now. With all of it.

That's the work. That's the path. That's the way home.

If you hear this, you hear it. If you want to go deeper, to do this consciousness work for real, to integrate it with your body, your business, your whole life...

Shoot me an email. I only work with people who are ready to be honest. Who are willing to stop pretending. Who understand that I'm not your teacher, not your authority—just a man sharing what's moving through him.

Let's go.
