Why most guys train the wrong way
Mar 15, 2026 2:01 pm
Most guys in the gym are doing the right exercises.
They're hitting chest, back, shoulders. They're showing up consistently.
But their execution is off in ways they can't see.
The bar path is wrong on incline press. Pull-ups are all biceps, no lats. Dips are shoulder dominant instead of chest. Lunges are training balance instead of legs.
None of these feel wrong in the moment. The movement happens. The set gets done. The session gets logged.
But the muscle you're trying to build isn't getting the signal it needs.
That's why guys train for years and the mirror doesn't change.
Not because they're lazy. Because the execution is quietly wrong and nobody's correcting it.
The 1.6:1 ratio is built on 10 specific movements done correctly. Not heavier. Not more volume. Just correctly.
More on this tomorrow.
