Short-Circuit Stress

Happy Monday, !
1. Breathe like it matters
Try box breathing: → Inhale 4 → Hold 4 → Exhale 4 → Hold 4 (Repeat for 2–3 minutes. This sends a direct 'you’re safe’ signal to your body and helps lower stress hormones fast.
2. Get light in your eyes before 10 a.m.
Even on a cloudy day. Just 10 minutes of outdoor light can boost mood, focus, and reset your internal clock so your brain knows when to be 'on'… and when to wind down.
3. Set a digital curfew
Even 30 minutes off screens before bed helps your brain shift into rest-and-repair mode. The goal: Less stimulation and more wind-down time before sleep.
4. Go for a walk
Not for steps… just for you!
Moving your body (without trying to 'optimize' it) is one of the best ways to shake off built-up stress.
5. Do something fun for no reason
Listen to a podcast that makes you laugh. Put on a playlist from college. Call that friend you always feel better after talking to.
Fun can lower stress hormones just as much as working out.
One of the best things you can do if you’re feeling stressed is to get a change of perspective.
Save this eamil as your stress “toolkit” to when stress creeps in.
Which one will you start with?
Sometimes it just takes a simple shift of focus to short-circuit stress.
Keep up the good work,
