How to stay active during the holidays

Happy Wednesday, !
December's here, and with it comes a common pitfall I want to help you avoid. Remember how we talk about steering clear of the "all or nothing" mindset? Well, the holiday season is when this approach really gets put to the test.
You've been crushing it for 11 months - consistent workouts, mindful eating. Then December rolls in with its whirlwind of parties, treats, and distractions. Suddenly, your routine's at risk of unraveling.
But here's the thing: don't fall for it.
One moment you're taking a "little break," and before you know it, you're lugging around an extra 10 pounds.
I've already had a few clients ask about pausing their Fitness & Manual Therapy sessions for December, planning to return in January.
Why? Because in reality, the holidays are when you need guidance the most.
Thinking of hitting pause? Think again. Some exercise beats no exercise, hands down.
Keep up with your workouts, even if it's less frequent than usual. This consistency allows you to enjoy your favorite holiday treats without the side of guilt that often comes with them.
And let's not forget - exercise isn't just about how you look. It's a powerful tool for brain health and mood boosting. The holiday season can be stressful, so why not use exercise as your secret weapon? Get those endorphins flowing and give your mind a break from the holiday hustle.
Exercising with others during this time can be especially beneficial. It provides social support and accountability and can make working out feel more like a fun activity than a chore.
So, stick with it. Don't let the holidays throw you off track. Your body and mind will thank you when January rolls around.
Remember, it's not about perfection. It's about consistency and balance. You've got this!
Keep up the good work,
