Hey Dragons!
Sorry for the big gap in sending newsletters again. It’s been a busy last few weeks, let me tell you. I just finished my MFA and graduated two weeks ago then went to my father-in-law’s house for vacation/still working remotely.
On The Desk
Apothecary’s Price has only one chapter left to go ish. I do have a new scene I might include later on based on some notes I made at residency, but I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.
Because I’m no longer in school, the ghostwriting agency reached out to me as well to hire me back on to work for them at an amazing rate compared to when I left. So I’ll be working on that as well. However, I had stipulations with them so I can keep my regular writing a priority.
We also have some amazing freebies and other indie books to check out. Don’t forget to check those out!
Around The Desk
Residency was super eventful. I got to murder a few people, hunt for ghosts, and find out how to write good.
All jokes aside, it was definitely really fun and I am going to miss being a student at Seton Hill University.
If you’re curious about some of the works that have been and are published after going through the program, one of my cohorts just published his thesis earlier this week so you can check it out.
I also started doing a 10k steps a day challenge with my husband on Thursday. My feet are sore after those walks, but the dogs absolutely loved it and chilled out for hours afterward with both a 3-mile walk and a 2-mile walk. Wish me luck on trying to keep doing this for 90 days.
On The Bookshelf
I’m still working through Isra’s series right now. Not much to update on my bookshelf of new books being read. However, I did pick up a few more signed books while at residency from alumni and faculty alike. So now I need to find a place to put them all on my shelf as I have no room outside of double stacking them and hiding half of my books.
Don’t forget to check out the books by some featured authors down below including a no-cost ebook book fair!
