Hey !
So this week I've only trained once and it got me thinking.
When is the best time to put the pedal to the metal and when is the best time to stop?
The reality is we can't have one without the other.
There is no work without rest and their is no rest without work.
So what does this mean?
Lets have a closer look in this weeks email.
WORK, REST AND RABBITS EATING CARROTS.
Read time- about 90 seconds.
Enjoy!
IT'S TIME TO REST.
When we work hard we need rest. When we don't work hard enough we can't rest. Your body and mind will tell you. It's just a matter of being aware enough to understand where you're at. Rest when it's appropriate to rest but don't rest if it's not appropriate to rest.
TAKE AWAY- Earn your rest.
IT'S TIME TO WORK.
The opposite of the first is to work harder than you did yesterday. In my programs that I run with my clients I'll never get them to compare themselves to anyone other than the person they were yesterday. This means to work harder than you did yesterday. This means to put in more effort than YOU did yesterday.
TAKE AWAY- Put in more work today than you did yesterday and you'll be better than you were yesterday.
THE RABBIT NEEDS TO EAT THE DAMN CARROT
I heard the best quote from a Shaolin master about learning. He said if a rabbit's about to eat a carrot and it sees another carrot that looks more inviting it drops the first carrot without even taking a bite. Then after that it sees an even more inviting carrot and drops the second carrot without even taking a bite. Then the cycle continues on.
TAKE AWAY- Take a few bites out of the first carrot before moving onto the second one.
BE A COOL HUMAN
Cool humans look after other cool humans.
So if you liked this email, take a moment to think of another cool human that would benefit from it and share it with them by forwarding this email.
So rest when you need to rest, work when you need to work and take a few bites out of the first carrot before moving onto the second one.
See you next week:)
