Hi ,
It's been a busy summer of camps and trips. I'm taking my son and two of his friends to the lake soon. Not camping, there will be running water and air conditioning. And Wi-Fi. Kids these days....
Adding to the activity, a short story of mine will be published in Analog next month. It's called "Return Blessing" and is the tale of a rich ne'er-do-well who runs into a communications problem with the insectile aliens of the planet where he's squandering his father's money. I had fun writing it and I hope you'll have fun reading it. I'll email the main Readers Club when the story hits newsstands.
The story is set in the same universe as a novel I really enjoyed writing: Azureseas: Cantrell's War. I'll run a low-priced $0.99 promotion on the novel for a week or two during the story's Analog run. (List price is $4.99). To help the promotion along, and save you a dollar, I welcome you to read it now for free. In return, I'd appreciate it if you considered leaving an honest review at your bookstore of choice, or Goodreads or BookBub. (or more than one, but don't strain a muscle on my account).

The fine folks at StoryOrigin will ask you to verify you're a member of my launch team before you can download, but then you're all set.
Azureseas
A world of sandy beaches under a yellow-orange sun. Human developers could turn it into the next great tourist world of the Consortia… except for its large, dangerous native animals.
Ross Cantrell joined the animal control mission on Azureseas to earn the money he needed to start married life together with his girlfriend.
Then Ross discovers the truth about the planet’s “animals.”
Though I'd appreciate a review, you don't have to leave one. The book is yours to read for free, as my thanks to you for being a member of my Launch Team. Just click that link and enter your email address when prompted. The good folks at StoryOrigin will get the book to you in the format you prefer. Even PDF, if that's how you roll.

Happy reading!
