houston disaster relief for the winter storm
Feb 22, 2021 8:16 pm
If last week's winter storm took you by surprise don't worry because you are not alone.
Just days before the winter storm I had no idea that we would be faced with problems like:
- No power to light and warm our house
- No water to wash or drink
- No gas to try and drive to find resources or at least warm up in
Despite the cold conditions of last week and concerned looks on the baby and dog's face, we made the best of the situation and I'm happy that we are moving on from the winter weather!
With Monday marking the 4th consecutive day of power and water for most in the area, many businesses are open to help those who are still trying to recover.
In this week's resource guide, titled How To Find Houston Disaster Relief After The Texas Winter Storms, I have compiled a list of agencies to help you or your clients to recover from last week's winter storm.
Inside the guide you will find:
- Instructions on filing an insurance claim if pipes busted in your home
- Links to help you apply for FEMA assistance
- An update on the Houston water boil notice
- Information about an upcoming City of Houston Winter Storm Relief Fund
- How Governor Abbott is helping those who received $1,000 utility bills despite minimal usage
- Water distribution programs for Houston seniors
- Much more...
Have a great work week!
