Southernism of the Week: “No higher than corn and no lower than taters.”

This translates to about 18 inches down and 60 inches up, the answer to “How deep do you want the fence post holes dug?”

Southern Treat of the Week: Cheerwine: It does not contain any alcohol, but it’s been “The South’s Unique Cherry Soft Drink” since 1917, when it was created during a WWI sugar shortage. “With a burgundy-red color and cheery disposition, the name Cheerwine simply made sense,” the company says.

imageDoug had an exciting vacation in Italy recently! Unfortunately, he also had a run in with Medusa. If you know of any treatments for turning stone back into flesh, let us know. Otherwise, the third Felony Melanie book is going to be late!

Have you read Doug’s book Totally Rad Wormhole yet? If so did you leave a review? Please do! Reviews help authors, and they don’t have to be long. For example, Tonya called it “A well written book that should be a part of every library.” You can request a free review copy of Doug’s time travel comedy Totally Rad Wormhole or get the book on Amazon or in a variety of e-book formats on Smashwords.

Meanwhile, Kris dealt with lazy coworkers who do nothing except sleep on the job and hang out by the water cooler.
