Kris’s voice recognition mistake of the day: “This is Soda Damn” - er, make that Soda Dam, near Jemez Springs, New Mexico. The Soda Dam was formed by deposits from the thermal spring water that was built up over the course of 7,000 years. Kris and friends stopped there on their way to hiking at Valles Caldera, which was reasonably cool because it’s at over 7000 feet in elevation.

Grumpy Prince's Runaway Bride, by Lizbett Ardent: “I never thought I would see Liam again. Our future was promising… but the King’s selfish political ambitions ruined everything. Now Liam now wants a reconciliation, but he needs to convince the King, and that might be close to impossible.” If you like royal romances or “left at the altar” set-ups this might be for you.

The Damsel and The Billionaire (Bad Boy Series), by Sheila Sparks: “Billionaire men are not my vibe… But when I met this movie producer, my heart couldn’t resist.” The heroine, Chloe, is a “horse whisperer” who is angry when her father lets a movie producer use their land. The hero also tries to get Chloe involved in the film as a horse expert. Readers praise the character development and say it it's a sweet, slow-burn romance.

Remember Me, by Vida Li Sik: “Emma waited two years for Marc to see her as more than just a friend. Now she has his full attention. But her mother will go to shocking lengths to stop her relationship with a boy from the wrong side of town. Emma must make a choice that will bring her heartache no matter what she decides. Remember Me is a Young Adult Friends to Lovers Sweet Romance set in Johannesburg.” Sounds like an interesting setting, and it’s free on Amazon!
