"Oh, you think I’m cute when I'm angry?" 😠

Southernism of the Week: This one sounds like Melanie, but it could be useful for holiday family gatherings: “Oh so you think I’m cute when I get angry? Well get ready because I’m about to be GORGEOUS.”

Kris and Doug spent Thanksgiving with their mother (and Kris’s husband and Doug’s girlfriend) in Phoenix this year. Here are “the kids” at Papago Park.

Kris’s notes from the writing life: I was spell checking my draft on desert biomes (a work for hire children's book). Spellcheck keeps wanting to change desert to dessert. I guess dessert biomes would include categories such as pie, cakes, and cookies. Yum!

Holiday Shopping? How about giving your cat-loving friends print copies of cat café romance novels? If you can't get physical objects delivered in time, you can send e-books as gifts. Visit the Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series page on Amazon US or Amazon UK. (For other countries click here.)

Kris’s voice-recognition mistake of the day: Any reason you need a particular sin? (That was supposed to be "Any reason you need it particularly soon?")

Doug writes humorous Christian short stories as Jacob Love. Get these in paperback or send as a Kindle present as great holiday gifts! Or check out the other ebook options. In The Christmas Tree Lot and Other Holiday Stories, hear humorous tales from living nativity mishaps to the choir’s ill-fated visit to a retirement community.

And don't forget Doug's latest book, Totally Rad Wormhole! It's a fantastically fun 80s time-travel comedy. Get the book in paperback or for the Kindle on Amazon or in a variety of e-book formats on Smashwords.

Southern Treat of the Week: If you are dreaming of a warm Christmas, check out these "10 Foods For A Southern Comfort Christmas." Many of the items could fit on a typical Thanksgiving table, but you'll find a few that aren't common in the North or West, such as black-eyed peas and bread pudding.

Doug’s Rom Com Faves: Love Actually: One of the best “anthology movies” ever, this Christmas-season collection of romantic stories is filled with memorable moments and plenty of charm. Written and directed by Richard Curtis, it features a menagerie of mostly British stars, including Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Liam Neeson, Emma Thomson, Alan Rickman, and Bill Nighy.
