Southernism of the Week: “Thin as a rake and twice as sexy.”
ReadingForRelaxation gave Felony Melanie in Pageant Pandemonium 5 stars and said, “Some of the best parts are sneaking off after the football game, the ‘Melanie sandwich’ from Clinton and Eldon, going to the pageant hung over, and how Melanie’s friends have her back.” Find the Felony Melanie: Sweet Home Alabama romantic comedy novels at various retailers.

Doug has been hiking in the Los Angeles area, and Southern California is in bloom!
Doug says: "I decided to try out some of the art AIs (artificial intelligence programs). I tested them with a prompt that would be very easy for a human artist (or even a ten-year-old kid) to draw, but which wouldn't likely have any direct online references. I gave them: 'A viking riding a rhinoceros by a lake, comic book style.'" Here's one of the results, for your amusement.
Get Doug’s comedic novel Totally Rad Wormhole on Amazon or in a variety of e-book formats on Smashwords: Two nerds from the eighties accidentally open a wormhole to today, go to their high school reunion, and meet their future selves. Horrified at what they’ve become, they set out to change their fate.
Kris’s voice recognition mistake of the day: “Zoya poop off and boutonniere Valentine entered the car. Buddha mirror scowled as he scanned the cafe car.”
Kris says, "Zoya Popov and Budimir Balakin are characters in my work in progress, the sixth Accidental Detective book. I was dictating into my phone while I went for a walk and it came up with these alternates for their names."
In Kris’s humorous Accidental Detective mystery series, a witty journalist solves mysteries in Arizona and tackles the challenges of starting over in midlife.
Kris says: “A book comes to life – at least the five abandoned kittens part!” A cat gave birth in a friend's carport and then abandoned the five kittens, so they are being cared for by the cat-loving homeowners. It's startlingly like the premise of Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café: “He’s loved her forever. She still sees him as the neighbor kid. Can five desperate kittens bring them together?” Visit the Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series on Amazon US or Amazon UK.
