Here’s a spooky urban legend from Mobile, Alabama. In 1835, Charles Boyington, a young printer, was executed for a murder he claimed he didn’t commit. Prior to being hanged, he declared that a mighty oak tree would spring from his heart to prove his innocence. And sure enough, an oak tree has grown from his grave in the Church Street Graveyard! People claim to have heard strange noised coming from the tree. Could it be Charles, still declaring his innocence?

Kris enjoyed this article from Southern Living on The Invite and the Art of Saying No, the Southern Way. The practical advice is toward the top. Keep reading for some humor. We may start using "I have an existential crisis" as our excuse.

Kris’s Bonus Voice recognition mistake of the day: "I could use another mug of mold wine." 🤢

I guess that’s the Halloween version of mulled wine.
