Cute cats đŸ˜œ, sexy singers, and a never-ending July

Jul 25, 2020 11:22 pm

Hello again! Or if you're new, welcome! If you haven't yet gotten your copy of my free novella, Lions and Love at the Cat CafĂ©, you can get it here. For “13 of the recipes mentioned in Kris Bock's Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series,” go here.

For your ferret photo of the day, Bear Bear demonstrates an advanced Yogiferret pose, head over tail.

Cat cafés in the news: Despite the shut down, cat cafés are finding ways to allow small numbers of customers to play with the cats. Cat & Craft Café even had five adoptions last weekend! Spay and neuter programs were on hold for several months this spring, leading to a huge overflow of kittens. Cat cafés help shelters find homes for these animals.

Voice recognition mistake of the day: "That man must have killed her" became "Batman must have killed her." That would change the story a bit.

Bonus Mistake of the day: The city sent a notice about water outages: "This will occur during the week of July 13th through July 107h ..."

So July now has 107 days. Feels about right for 2020.

Here's a bit of beauty from a recent New Mexico sunset.

Things to watch: Heavy metal Mongolian throat singers. I love growly voices (swoon!) and the scenery is impressive too.

Cute of the day: This Funny Cat Named Zelda posts funny pics and cat poetry, such as this gem:

She told me that it's Mother's Day

She said she wanted flowers

I ate a plant and threw it up

And stared at her for hours
