All hail the floof belly đŸ˜ș (and other silly stuff)!

Voice recognition mistake of the day: “His latest medical research led him to investigate firemen.” 😂 (He investigated thiamine. Some romance novels do suggest that hot firemen are good medicine though!)

imageI just turned in the manuscript for the Accidental Detective book 6, Someone Rotten Riding the Rails. I had a lot of fun with this one set on a train! Are you caught up on the series? The most recent release was Someone Missing from Malapais Mountain.

Praise for Someone Missing: “I enjoyed this a lot. LOL’d several times. Fun cast of characters and witty dialogue. Well done.” – copyeditor KC

Get The Accidental Detective series in print or ebook from all retailers.

imageMy next book coming out is A Baby for the Billionaire Cowboy, the Accidental Billionaire Cowboys series book 4, on August 16. I like the sky colors on the cover!

Just for fun, I played around with an artificial intelligence art program. Here's what I asked it and what it delivered:

A cowboy is at a ranch in Texas. He is tall, handsome, 30, with brown hair. He is working with a llama.

That's quite the smile there!

Bonus voice recognition mistake "Oh hell the loose ballet!" Er, I meant “All hail the floof belly!” That was in reference to this photo my friend sent of her new kitten:

Books on My Radar:

image Murder at Highfields (Berkshires Cozy Mystery Book 1), by Andrea Kress: "Berkshire Mountains, Massachusetts, 1931. A town judge shot dead in a house full of suspects. Can a curious young female nurse turned amateur sleuth uncover the truth before someone else dies? Murder at Highfields is the lively first book in the Berkshires Cozy mystery series. If you like good-hearted heroines, delightful doses of humor, and smart surprises, then you’ll love Andrea Kress’s fast-moving whodunnit." Rated 4.1 stars with over 100 ratings.

imageFamiliar Troubles: A Crystal Beach Paranormal Cozy Mystery Series Collection (Books 1-5), by Karen McSpade: "Meet Sidney Grace: Quirky journalist, Hesitant witch, Professional butterfingers.” From book 1: “When her grandmother is arrested for murdering a resident at her retirement community, Sidney road-trips to wacky Crystal Beach, Florida to discover that her grandmother has no alibi, her grandfather isn’t as dead as she thought he was, and one of her cats can speak. Now, Sidney must embrace her own magical talents to prove her grandmother’s innocence and stop the killer." A great deal for five books!

imageTogether: The Complete Through the Flames Series, by Jessie Kelley: "Three women reconsider their lives. Katie is happily married with children when Adam suddenly decides he wants a divorce. JessicaÂŽs carefully crafted plans are upended when a close friends dies suddenly, leaving Jessica as guardian to her son. Set in beautiful Nantucket, Together is feel-good women's fiction that explores themes of healing, forgiveness, and love with a dash of romance and danger." The whole collection is 300 pages for 99 cents.

imageOf Hidden Blood, by Cindy Gunderson: "Elora feels things she can’t explain, but hidden away in the Northern Mountains where her people fear anyone who touches the magic, she can’t risk asking questions. Then her father’s drunken rage endangers her sister Tera’s life, and the boy she loves tells her he suspects there’s magic in his bloodline.
