Two Very Different Heroines in my two mystery series

Voice recognition mistake of the day: “If Peyton didn’t know where they were, one of the others my butt idea.”😳

Er, “might have an idea.” That’s from writing A Stone Cold Murder, and that’s why we proofread.

imageThe blog tour for A Stone Cold Murder included a stop at Carla Loves To Read, where I discussed “Two Very Different Heroines” in my two mystery series (Petra in the Reluctant Psychic Mystery series and Kate in The Accidental Detective humorous mystery series.) Plus she reviewed the book: “The mystery was very interesting. I liked how she went about solving the mystery, especially as she didn’t really know what the crime was until much later in the story. Overall, I found this an intriguing story with great characters and an interesting plot. I liked how it all wrapped up and that Petra is settling in nicely and does finally have some friends and people she feels comfortable with. I am looking forward to the next book in this series, Death at Rock Bottom.” (4.5 stars!)

imageLife in New Mexico: This was the view from my office window recently. Fortunately we had a little rain to clear out the smoke from distant fires earlier in the week.

Fun: Petra in Check A Stone Cold Murder studied geology, as did my husband. Check out this funny song, The Geologists are Coming. They should be wearing ragged shorts, Teva sandals, and what might have in the distant past (in human terms, not geologic) been a T-shirt. But otherwise this is pretty good.

I also shared a Breakfast Burrito recipe on author Brenda Whiteside’s blog.

Throwback voice recognition mistake: “I have on my calendar to get used up several days ahead.” I don’t need any help feeling used up! This should have been “you set up.”
