How about a visit in the shower? 🤭
Jul 22, 2022 11:01 pm
Autofill weirdness of the day: I typed in "How about 7:30 for a visit in the s" and autofill suggested "shower." Um, I was going for "shade." The shower could also be cooling, but it makes social distancing harder. 😂
I've been having some trouble with the supposedly automatic update for my subscriber list, so apologies if you got the welcome email sequence twice. Please simply ignore the reminders if you've already gotten the freebies you want. And if you grabbed those and then unsubscribed, I'm really, really not trying to force you back on the list. I'm just fighting with technology. 😭
The first two books in the Accidental Detective series are out with number three coming in September. Grab them for only $4.99 each if you don't already have them! One reviewer called Something Deadly on Desert Drive, “even better than the first book in the series. As much as I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read from this author this read grabbed me and kept me reading until I finished it in one sitting."
It's been hot here in New Mexico, along with a lot of the country and the world. I hope you're managing to stay cool. We have been getting some fabulous clouds, which occasionally even bring rain.
Meanwhile, I'm 75% through writing The Billionaire Cowboy’s Fake Relationship! It's book 3 of the series that launches with The Billionaire Cowboy’s Christmas on November 10. (That one's a Christmas book. Could you tell?) I have to say, neither billionaires nor cowboys are my favorite hero type, but I'm having fun writing these and I think people will have fun reading them.
Voice recognition mistake of the day from the work in progress: "Mallory dressed for the fundraiser in a replica of Western wear from the eighteen-thirties. It included a full-length skirt over petticoats, with a blouse tucked into the skirt and a little salt tucked into the front of the blouse.” She’s superstitious, maybe? (That was supposed to be shawl, not salt.)
The Time to Write That Novel blog had an interview with my brother (and cowriter on the Felony Melanie Sweet Home Alabama prequel novels) Douglas Eboch. The interviewer says about the Sweet Home Alabama movie, "I needed to know what kind of writer could create such a timeless, feel-good story." Read the interview here.
And I know some of you read this almost exclusively for the ferret photos, so here are Panda and Bear Bear smuggling – wait, voice recognition, that's snuggling. Would you call that almost a figure 8? A braid?
