Hi ,
I'm currently making strides on ironing out the story for Once upon a Betrothal. The entire rough version of the book is available on Ream. Pretty soon, I'll be at the point where I'm seeking feedback for the story to get it through all of the editing stages. It should be on track for a late April or early May release. I plan on setting a preorder date after I get through the developmental editing phase so I have a better idea of how much time I need to polish it up into something I'm proud of.
In audiobook news, I made it down to the library and it sounds like I should be able to record there after I jump through some hoops. They have a very specific person I need to talk to later this week when he's there. Once I talk to him, I can schedule myself for training. Then it will be a simple matter of scheduling time for recording. Since this is new for me, I still can't say how long it will take, but I think the local option will be faster than trying to meet up with my friend who lives a couple hours away from me when we both have busy lives.
If you didn't do this already, hit reply and tell me what is your favorite thing about spring to enter this month's giveaway for a $5 Amazon gift card.
While working on Once upon a Betrothal, I made a card game. Initially, I intended to pick something from real life and adapt it, but nothing I found seemed to fit. I intend to make some cards this week (since my game has a 60 card deck) and see how it works playing with my kids instead of just in the story environment. If you're interested, you can check out my newly made up game, Paths of Fate, in my subscriber freebies.
Sales, Freebies, and/or New Releases
I don't have anything of my own to note here this time. But K. M. Shea has the entire Court of Midnight and Deception trilogy on sale for only $0.99 until the end of the month. If you've been following me for a while, you might already know that K. M. Shea is one of my favorite authors. This series is something I've read a couple times to date and I highly recommend it.

Court of Midnight and Deception Trilogy by K. M. Shea
The fae of the Night Court are desperate to find and crown their new monarch before the Court collapses.
I couldn’t care less.
I’ve done everything I can to bury my fae blood and embrace my human half. That changes when some fae nobles show up on my doorstep and announce that I’m the next Queen of the Night Court.
Becoming an unwilling fae queen? Check. Inheriting a terrible mess? Double check.
The Court is almost bankrupt, my citizens’ favorite hobby is backstabbing one another, and I don’t know who I can trust since someone keeps trying to assassinate me.
Speaking of assassins, I get introduced to the best in the business—a fae lord nicknamed the Wraith. His deadly profession means he fears No. One.
The only reason he doesn’t kill me on the spot is he’s a member of the Night Court and the Court’s magic protects me. But that doesn’t prevent him from trading verbal barbs with me whenever we meet.
And if cat herding uncooperative fae while chatting with assassins wasn’t enough, I’m required to get married as part of some archaic Court law. This “queen” gig is the worst!
Supposedly I can choose anyone to marry, but with all the infighting I need someone who is unaffiliated and won’t cause political power struggles.
So, why do I keep thinking of a certain assassin?

With over 28,000 ratings on Amazon and Goodreads, and millions of pages read this trilogy is packed with humor, adventure, and a sweet, slow burn romance between a reluctant fae queen and the assassin who tried to kill her.
This bundle includes all three books in the series: Crown of Shadows, Crown of Moonlight, and the Queen’s Crown.
Water Holding Prophecies by T. M. Caruana
The Frost Castle lies in ruins, its walls reduced to ash by the Fire Fae. Princess Alyssa’s parents are dead, and now the Fire Fae King wants her to meet the same fate. But before the killing blow can land, she freezes the stolen Frost Crown, sealing away its magic – and with it, her execution.
Unable to kill her, the Fire King imprisons and tortures her, determined to break her will and reclaim the crown’s power. For three years, Alyssa endures, until she seizes a chance to escape, vanishing into the human realm. But when her best friend is kidnapped, she knows she must return and face the war she’s been running from for so long.
Leading a daring rescue mission through the Fae realm, Alyssa is captured once more – only this time, it unlocks memories she thought were lost. And at the centre of them is the Fire Fae Prince. Once a boy from her past, now a formidable warrior – lethal, devastatingly handsome, and dangerously unpredictable. Can she trust him as an ally, or will falling for him be her and her kingdom’s downfall?
A gripping fantasy filled with fierce friendships, high-stake battles, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance. This standalone novel delivers heart-pounding action and a touch of destiny.
Note: This book is written in UK English. Contains sexual content, strong language, and violence.
Love and Lab Extractions by Mary Stephenson Su
Lab Partners, Chemistry, and Visions of the Future
Strailer’s a young elf who loves friends and fun. When the lab instructor pairs him off with “The Ice Queen” Lilliana, he hopes his charms can melt her icy exterior.
Lilliana likes things done right and keeping Strailer on-task is just going to slow her down. While the chemistry between them is undeniable, he also brings a beaker full of chaos. She’s seen visions of her future–including her love life–and she knows Strailer’s not in it.
But when the elf of Lilliana’s dreams arrives in Valley Glen, it’s not as perfect as she had hoped. He brings trouble that could upend all of their futures. Will Lilliana follow her visions blindly into the future, or let her heart lead her down the right path?
Alone. Orphaned. Peasant. Everin is the kind of person who should be ignored by the prince and his royal family.
Yet, when his family is unjustly slaughtered by mage hunters, it’s her the prince needs. Despite their differences, the same illegal magic flows through their veins. And others will kill for this power.
Their last hope for escape is a tome forgotten by time–if they can only find the book’s missing pages before they’re hunted like animals.
But not everything is as it seems. When Everin uncovers a deadly secret, she must choose to reject or embrace her most dangerous self.
