Hi ,

Last month's giveaway winner is Jodi at ci ... 66 at yahoo dot com. If this is you, you should have received your gift card by now.

Work on Once upon a Betrothal is moving along smoothly now. I'm up to about 34 thousand words now. It's still in a pretty rough state. But if you're interested in reading an unfinished version, I've uploaded the first 10 chapters to my Ream. This isn't a free option, but it's available if you want to try it.

For those of you who enjoy audiobooks, I'm sorry to say that I keep hitting roadblocks when I've been trying to set up a time that works for my friend and I to meet up for recording. However, I have discovered another possible option. My local library might have the equipment I need. I just need to go down there and look into the details. If all goes well, I might be able to schedule something there to start recording Once upon a Rose.

For this month's giveaway of a $5 Amazon gift card, hit reply and tell me what is your favorite thing about spring.

Sales, Freebies, and/or New Releases

Writing Snippet from Once upon a Betrothal

Eli chuckled as he held out the perfume bottle he just purchased toward her. “You should try this, Lily. It’s all the rage here.”

As expected, she eyed the bottle with distaste before refusing. Whether her plan to break their engagement worked or not, he would look like he should in the eyes of his people and that included buying gifts for his betrothed.

Expected response or not, he couldn’t help prodding her about it. “Suit yourself, but it would figure that you’d turn your nose up at something prominent in West Tierya.” He raised his eyebrows playfully to add to the taunt.

At his words, she got the look in her eye. The one he’d loved pushing her into as kids. The outraged look that said she was close to losing her control. He’d always wondered what would happen if she gave into her anger and actually did whatever she’d been plotting against him.

imageThe White Slipper by Brittany Fichter

What can a poor apothecary offer the princess who has it all?

In this fairy tale retelling of The White Slipper, Princess River is the envy of all her peers, for her doting father has always promised her she could marry for love. But when he loses the healing slipper that prevents his ghastly foot injury from killing him, he makes a horrifying edict. The man who makes him an identical slipper and saves his life shall have River's hand in marriage.

To River's chagrin, such a man, poor and unknown, does come forward, claiming he's found the secret cure. But River, discontent to helplessly hand over her future and her kingdom, seeks to learn about his past. To her surprise, however, her search reveals far more than she ever expected.

This mysterious young man may not only hold the true secret to helping her father...but he might be the one who claimed her heart long ago.

Delve into these standalone fairy tale retelling novellas of lesser-known tales as told by Wendy and Peter Pan. The Nevertold fairy tales are not set in the same world as the Classical Kingdoms Collection, but they have the same clean romance, magical mystery, and heroic happily-ever-afters.
