Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings
Servings: About 4 (as an appetizer)
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 18–20 minutes
Ingredients
For the wings:
- 1 pound chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated, if possible)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
For the Lemon Pepper Dipping Sauce:
- ¼ cup melted butter or ghee
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- Pinch of kosher salt (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
- Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels (this helps them get extra crispy). Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Toss the wings with the oil, lemon pepper seasoning, and kosher salt until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single, even layer in the air fryer basket. (Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.)
- Air fry for 18–20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through with tongs, until golden, crispy, and cooked through (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F).
- While the wings cook, prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter (or ghee), lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, and a pinch of salt if desired. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Once the wings are done, immediately toss them in some of the warm sauce for a glossy, buttery coating, or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
Enjoy hot, crispy, zesty, and perfect for game day or any time you want a quick, flavorful snack!
To your health and well-being,
Jessy
