🔥MYTH! 🔥
💡It’s true: egg yolks are high in cholesterol.
🥚It’s also true that foods that are high in cholesterol can raise “bad” LDL cholesterol levels – but usually only by a small amount.
That being said, studies haven’t found eating eggs actually raises cholesterol levels.
💛Egg yolks appear to contain micronutrients and compounds that interfere with your ability to absorb cholesterol.
🍳Clinical trials haven’t found any association between eggs and heart disease – except in people who are unusually sensitive to dietary cholesterol (if this is you, talk to your doctor or dietitian!).
🥇The takeaway: For most people, eggs can be a great source of protein and important micronutrients.
👉When is the last time you had some eggs?!
