But the usual suspects this time of year are usually loaded up with sugar, syrups, and ingredients that leave your blood sugar on a roller coasterโฆ
Yes, Iโm looking at you, drive-thru Pumpkin Spice Latte, aka โPSL.โ ๐
Youโre in for a treat today, because Iโve got a new recipe thatโs just as delicious, has just enough spice, and that will actually support your body and goals.
Itโs also a great recipe to help nourish your adrenals and give your nervous system a breather. ๐งโโ๏ธ
Golden Hour Pumpkin Latte
(Serves 1)
ยพ cup (180 ml) unsweetened almond or oat milk
ยผ cup (60 ml) brewed coffee or espresso
2 tbsp pumpkin purรฉe (canned)
ยฝ tsp cinnamon
ยผ tsp ground ginger
ยผ tsp turmeric (optional for extra anti-inflammatory boost)
1 tsp maple syrup or raw honey (or to taste)
1 tsp MCT oil or coconut oil (optional)
Pinch of sea salt
Optional: Collagen peptides or adaptogenic mushroom blend
Warm the milk, pumpkin, and spices in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Donโt let it boil.
Once warm, pour into a blender with coffee, oil, sweetener, and any optional add-ins. Carefully blend until creamy and frothy (about 20โ30 seconds).
Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!
Want a caffeine-free version? Swap the coffee for dandelion or chicory root tea.
