Happy Sunday, !
I swear that every time I buy food that isn’t in my normal rotation, I end up wasting most of it!
So (confession alert) I try not to buy special food items unless it's for an occasion.
Life is a whole lot easier when you keep your kitchen STREAMLINED.
One of the biggest mistakes I see people make with nutrition is thinking that eating a healthy and varied diet means more recipes, more ingredients, and more planning.
Reality: The people who stay consistent the longest do the opposite.
They build a small, reliable pantry that works on repeat.
I call this the 10-Ingredient Kitchen, and once you set it up, you can mix and match your way to 20+ meals without starting from scratch every night.
Your Foundation Ingredients:
These are just examples. Adjust based on your preferences and what your busy family with different taste preferences actually eats!
- Protein (pick 2–3): chicken thighs or breasts, eggs, salmon, ground meat and turkey, tofu, or tempeh
- Carbs (pick 2): rice or quinoa, potatoes or sweet potatoes
- Produce (pick 3–4 staples): onions, spinach or mixed greens, bell peppers, zucchini, or broccoli
- Fats and Flavor (pick 2–3): olive oil, garlic, and one simple sauce or seasoning blend you love
That's it.
What You Can Make:
With just those ingredients on hand, you can rotate through stir-fries, sheet-pan dinners, salads, simple protein & veggie plates, grain bowls, and even breakfast for dinner!
And this works whether your goal is:

✅ getting dinner on the table without it becoming a whole event
