Two mindset shifts to get back on trackโฆ

Happy Monday, !
Can we all agree that perfection is exhausting? ๐
Well, one of the biggest myths out there is that you have to get everything right to make progress.
You know how it goesโฆ
If you miss one workout or splurge a little too much, you feel like youโve blown it, so you give up entirely. Sound familiar?
But hereโs the truth: True success isnโt about being perfect โ itโs about being consistent, even when things arenโt ideal.
You have two choices. You can:
- Crush one โperfectโ week of workouts and meal prep, then burn out and do nothing for the next three.
- OR show up at 80% (or more!) every week for months, even when life throws you curveballs.
Which one do you think gets better results?
Spoiler: Itโs the second one.
Here are two POWERFUL strategies to rewire your mindset for consistency:
1. Celebrate โNon-Zeroโ Days.
This concept comes from the idea that any effort is better than none. Walk for 10 minutes? Do a few push-ups? Add a side of veggies to your dinner? Itโs a win. The goal is to avoid having a day where you do nothing for your goals.
- Some of my clients have a โNon-Zero Jarโ where they put in a quarter every day they do something for their healthโno matter how small.
2. Use the 2-Minute Rule.
On days when motivation is low, tell yourself you only need to do two minutes. Just two! Thatโs usually enough to get you started and of course, youโll likely want to keep going! But even if you do stop, youโve still kept the habit alive. (Plus itโll count as a non-zero day ๐)
- One of my clients uses this trick with meal prep. She tells herself sheโll just chop veggies for two minutes. Most of the time, she ends up prepping everything she planned for.
Perfection gets you stuck. Consistency keeps you moving forward.
Itโs not about being perfect โ itโs about showing up, over and over again.
Hereโs to progress, not perfection,
