When I work with clients, we focus on โ€œSlow, weighted workouts with at least 24 hours between working the same muscle groups. Then, we add more weight or increase the reps to the mix every 2-3 weeks.โ€] 


This works because โ€œBuilding muscle actually raises your metabolic rate even at rest, and increases muscle strength endurance unlike cardio which JUST burns calories while youโ€™re in motion.โ€].
