Happy Friday, !

A new review of 85 studies just came out in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, and the takeaway was loud and clear:

๐Ÿ‘‰ If you move your body regularly, you lower your risk of dying from any cause by up to 40%.

And hereโ€™s the best partโ€ฆ

Even if someone had been mostly sedentary for decades, just starting to move more later in life was still linked to a 20โ€“25% reduction in the risk of early death.

Weโ€™re not talking about elite workouts or perfect routines here, either!

Weโ€™re talking about real-life movement. Things like:

  • Walking
  • Gardening
  • Dancing in your kitchen
  • Strength training a couple times a week
  • Cleaning your house with music blasting

It all counts.

And here's the breakdown:

1๏ธโƒฃ If youโ€™re consistently active over time, you could cut your risk of death by 30โ€“40%.

2๏ธโƒฃ If you start being active laterโ€ฆ thatโ€™s still 20โ€“25% lower risk!

3๏ธโƒฃ Even movement below the recommended guidelines shows meaningful benefits.

Consistency matters most, thoughโ€ฆ

The more regularly you move, the bigger the payoff!

How to make it happen (what most experts recommend):

๐Ÿ‘‰ 150 minutes a week of moderate movement (aka ~30 minutes, 5 days/week)

๐Ÿ‘‰ Plus 2 strength sessions a week to protect your bones and muscles

Not only are there longevity payoffs, there are more immediate ones: more energy, better mood, feeling stronger, and renewed confidence.

Time to get moving!! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Committed to your success,
