Choco-Chia Recovery Drink

๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸฅคIโ€™m calling this a โ€œrecoveryโ€ drink because itโ€™s packed with healthy ingredients that can help your body rebound after a workout โ€ฆ 

โ€ฆ and itโ€™s packed with antioxidants, healthy fats, potassium, fiber, and more. 


But itโ€™s so delicious youโ€™ll want it for a snack anytime youโ€™re in the mood for a frozen treat. ๐Ÿ˜‹ 


TIP: Boost the protein factor (and the chocolate-y goodness!) with 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder. 


Choco-chia Recovery Drink

(makes 1 serving)

โ—      8 oz (240 ml) grass-fed milk or non-dairy milk 

โ—      ยฝ Tbsp chia seeds 

โ—      1 Tbsp cacao powder 

โ—      1-2 pitted dates (depending on size) 

โ—      ยฝ frozen ripe banana 

โ—      Handful of ice 

โ—      1 Tbsp peanut butter 

โ—      ยฝ Tbsp flaxseed meal 


Add the non-dairy milk and chia seeds to a blender and let rest for 10 minutes so the chia seeds can start to gel. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend. For a thicker shake, add more ice or frozen banana. 


Pour into a glass and enjoy!
