Got a few uncommon tips for you today thatโll help you save time and moneyโฆ AND not let food go to waste!
๐ฅฌ 1. Freeze your greens for smoothies:
โ๏ธ Wash and dry your greens
โ๏ธ Spread on a baking sheet and freezer for a couple of hours
โ๏ธ Transfer to freezer bags (remove air from the bag)
โ๏ธ Pop them in the freezer until itโs time for your smoothie!
๐ซ 2. Store herbs in olive oil:
โ๏ธWash them, chop them, put them in an ice cube tray, and cover them with oil
โ๏ธ Freeze. After itโs frozen through, place โcubesโ in a labeled freezer bag
โ๏ธ Next time you need a flavor boost while youโre cooking, just drop in a cube!
๐ 3. Batch cook grains:
โ๏ธAs soon as you get home from grocery shopping, cook up a pot of quinoa, farro, or other healthy carb.
โ๏ธ Store in the fridge for easy, quick additions to meals during the week.
