Get rid of shame

Jun 03, 2024 7:44 pm

Dear ,

It is extraordinarily tough to accept the sexual trauma which you have been through. Also, at times it may make you feel afraid about how others would react to this.

Will people judge you?

Do they make assumptions about you?

Are you beating yourself up as to why it happened or why you did not take any action?

Stop worrying as the time is now to open up.

Get rid of shame.

Shame will make you feel as if you are always under the microscope, always being judged.

Drop the feeling of not being good enough and begin to feel proud of yourself, your journey, and your strength.

Think how it will turn out if you feel proud about coming out of those sexual abuses? Don't you think it will alter your life? It will give you a new life with a new purpose.

Trauma makes you feel vulnerable. So what can you do about it? You can reach out to selective people whom you trust. Take the help of a therapist.

Instead of feeling shameful, keep your head high and drop the thought that you are not good enough. You tried your best to stop the abuses and those evil behaviors. Acknowledge the truth of whatever happened and practice mindfulness meditation.

Connect with your body and feelings, it will free yourself from problems like high blood pressure/hypertension.

I know life will never be the same, but you can rebuild yourself for the journey ahead.
